Description
For the West Highland Terrier lover! A vintage tie rack with two Westies proudly standing guard. We believe the tie rack might have been made by Syroco in the 1940s or '50s. Twelve metal clips/holders are attached to a metal vertical rod. Each "clip" rotates independently and operates exactly as originally designed. The piece measures about 13" tall. It has a drilled mounting hole at the top-center located between the two dogs. It appears to be constructed of a composite material, possibly a molded wood-pulp product that resembled hand-carved wood, similar to what SYROCO used in their products. The rack weighs a fraction of an ounce over 10 oz..There are several
areas and points of unintended white paint that have found their way on to the piece.
We discuss these in the preceding condition description box. We have not attempted to remove the paint. T
he Westie on the right side has a
small area of paint loss near his mouth, but there are no chips, cracks, or losses to either dog
. Please review the preceding condition description box and photo gallery.
The vintage tie rack will be shipped very well protected. We combine shipping.
